SUBSTITUTIONS... Overall Guidelines... * Players... Players that meet certain guidelines, can volunteer to act as a Substitute, for a team, that may request a Sub for that particular night. Players that wish to be in the SUB program, just send the three words BE A SUB to the automated system number, 3372406996, and you should receive an automated text back. Players cannot select what team they get assigned to, on a particular night. Players can serve as a Sub, even if they are on a permanent team. i.e. If a players knows they are not going to need to play their regular team that night. i.e. Because... their regular team already has enought players, your regular team has a Bye, your regular team, finds out their match has been postoned, etc. * Teams... Subs are randomly assigned to teams that request a Sub. It is mostly based in the order of the last assigned substitutions. Teams cannot select what players they get assigned to their request Player agrees to... * Serve as a Substitute for at least 5 subsitutions. * To respond with a YES or NO response, as soon as you know, if you are available that night. Team agrees to... * NOT attempt to poach a Sub player to come play with their team as a permanent player, until they have served their minimum of 5 sustitutions. Procedures... Players... The morning of play, they will receive an automated text, asking if they know, already, if they will be available to be a Sub that night. Subs should respond AS SOON AS THEY KNOW, with YES or NO, either way... if they will be available to act as a Sub that night. It will not be known IF a Sub is needed until a Team may request a Sub. If you get assigned as a Sub... you will receive a text, informing you of that, and the automated system will ask you to respond with a GOTIT to confirm that you received the Assignment. Team... Only Captains (or their co-captains) may request a Sub. Captains... To request a Sub, for that night... send a text of just NEEDSUB to 3372406996 ... that's the same number that you receive the 8am ish automated text, informing you what team yours plays, and where, etc. You receive back an automated response, and if and how many Subs are currently available. The script that runs to assign Subs, will start to run periodically starting some time after 11am. that script will assign Subs (if there are any available yet), in their qualifying order, and in the case of multiple teams have requested a Sub (sent their NEEDSUB text), in the order multiple teams has/have requested a Sub. If your team, gets assigned a Sub... the automated system will ask you to respond with a GOTIT to confirm that you received the Assignment.
